The boys’ soccer team will compete in the first round of the WPIAL playoff this Saturday, Oct. 19 at 3 PM vs OLSH AT Moon High School.
Luke Wagner was injured during the first round of playoffs. Will Lucas had to step in as starting goalie.
Greenburgh demonstrated great ball speed and control from the start but was not always able to with Junior goalkeeper Will Lucas who made several saves throughout the game.
Senior Lucas Schrieffer missed the back of the goal.
Avonworth lost 3-1 against Greenburgh Central Catholic. Seniors have earned 54 wins in the past four years. This ties a team record for wins in a four year period.
