SHOUT Club Turns Black History is American History T-Shirt Profits into Free Donuts For Students

If you wanted a donut on Friday, March 18th, there were 18 dozen ready for you during LEAD, courtesy of the SHOUT club.

After clearing over 600 dollars in profits from their Black History is American History BE THE KIND KID t-shirt fundraiser, the club members decided to give back to the student body by purchasing enough donuts to provide one to every AHS student.

Club sponsor Dr. George contacted the AHS staff about the SHOUT t-shirts via e-mail in January 2022. The email read, “We collaborated with Maureen Frew and #Bethekindkid to design a shirt to commemorate black history. Our design is meant to be worn not only during Black History Month but throughout the year.”
