With an amazing record of 12-0, some of the athletes on the varsity Golf team were able to qualify for WPIALs. Kai Carlson placed 8th place in individual WPIALs and went to states again this year.

Luke Hilyard is a current senior who had 871 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. He was the running back one for the Lopes and played a key role in the team’s offense. Peyton Faulkner, who is committed to Kent State University, is also considered one of the team’s star players despite not leading in receiving yards. That accomplishment goes to Austin Johncour.

Conner Ralston is a key player on the Varsity Hockey team statistically. He currently has 8 goals and 9 assists in just 11 games. He has played every game so far this season. Another key player on the team who might not shine through stats is Jake Seifarth.

Mike Osekowski led the boy’s Varsity soccer team with 17 goals in his season. He played a key role in the games by helping the team make it to the quarterfinals. He is currently a senior at Avonworth. Rowan Carmichael was a very talented player on the team and help lead the team to wins as well. Even though he did not have the most goals on the team he was able to showcase himself with his playmaking.
Laurel Purcell was a part of the cross-country team that was able to make it to WPIALs. She was a key runner for the team with her fastest time at 21:33. Laurel and a few other people on the team were performing very well throughout their season on the cross country team.
The volleyball team performed well this year making the playoffs. Sophie Culley was a standout player for the team. She led the team in kills. The team went 15-5 and made a run to the WPIAL semi-finals.
Matthew Purcell was able to excel last season in swimming, winning the state championship in the 500 freestyle and cutting nearly 20 seconds off of his own school record in a time of 4:35.14. He is currently a senior and has committed to Brown University to continue his swimming career. Current junior Elise Nardozzi also won the state championship in the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:49.09, and has committed to continue her swimming career at The Ohio State University after her graduation in 2024.
Fiona Mahan and Gianna Babusci were both selected for the girls soccer All-WPIAL team. Fiona Mahan led the team in goals this season which helped the team win the WPIAL championship.
