The Steelers ended off there 2022-2023 with a record of 9-8, and a potential franchise QB. By the bye week, they were 2-6 with a gloomy future ahead. It was around this time they traded wide receiver Chase Claypool to The Chicago Bears for a 2nd round pick. This pick soon turned into a very late first, coming at 32nd as The Bears Season plummeted, as The Steelers picked up. The Steelers now own the 17th pick, 32nd pick, and the 49th pick, all in the top 50. The future looks bright for this team, but what are the missing pieces?
The Steelers are missing a variety of missing pieces, but specifically in their secondary. They desperately need more middle linebackers, as it is expected that they will let go of the ones they have now. They also need defensive backs, which is good timing because 23-24 is a deep draft class. When we switch to the offensive side of the ball, there is only one piece missing, their O-Line. Improved from last year, picking up Mason Cole and James Daniels. They are still in desperate need of a left tackle and left guard. Luckily this year’s draft class also has lots of good line men. When it comes down to it, when it is the Steelers time to draft at 17th, there will be many good option to choose from.
In the 2022-2023 Season, We saw many stars show up. Kenny Pickett threw for 2,404 yards, playing in only 13 games. George Pickens also was a star, and will have a bigger role in this upcoming season. The Steelers also have a very young roster, and with a promising draft class, with a bright future, Many people can only say positive things about The Steelers.
I think that this article was very good because you gave very good details on the steeler’s season. It showed how good they might be next season. I also very much agree with the Kenny and George takes.
I am also very excited to see the future of the Steelers with the upcoming draft picks. It should be a good year.
Very informative, 10/10. Very hyped to see steelers play
