A hopscotch board appeared out of the blue in the language hallway this spring, something many students enjoyed, yet others didn’t even know existed. It was funded by the school nurse using her wellness grant, which is very much appreciated by the students of Avonworth!
” I chose that hallway because it is well traversed by our older students that may smile at the memory from a more innocent time. I have to look at the video of that hallway to see if/how many actually played. ” said Mrs. Barcaskey, the school nurse.
Some students have stopped and tried it out while others ignore it.
“I personally haven’t used it, but I’ve seen my friends do it and they failed miserably at it.” said Junior Josh Herleman.
“I think it’s over looked because its kinda hard to tell its there when theirs’s like, 50 students in the hall way, but when no one’s there, its fun to use.” said Sophomore Ke’nan Terry.
The hopscotch board is a fun and unique game to add to Avonworth, and should continue to be done with similar games.
