On April 14th, Iran launched several air attacks on the nation of Israel. The assault only resulted in minimal damage with Israel’s military saying they intercepted 99% of the drones and missiles launched by Iran. Iran says that this attack is in response to an Israeli strike on its embassy compound earlier in April. Israel has pledged to “exact a price” from Iran in response to the attack. Top US officials reportedly worry that Israel may soon respond to Iran’s attacks and trigger a wider regional conflict, according to NBC News. Many experts believe that how Israel responds to Iran attacks depends on Biden, since many of the decisions made in Israel depend on the president’s approval. This comes at a very demanding time, as the conflict in Palestine continues to be a point of argument between many Americans.
So, the question on everybody’s minds right now is: Are we heading to another WW3? Or at the very least, a very costly war?
Well, according to experts from Texas A&M University, it is highly unlikely, but reasonably possible.

In summary, the article details in full what may happen in the future, what needs to happen to spark a world war, and all the factors preventing that from happening. What this IS however; is a return of “great power politics”. This means that America is slowly losing its grip over the rest of the world, which isn’t exactly a bad thing. One thing this definitely proves, however, is that the US will have to make sure they make the right decisions. A single wrong decision could spell the end of our country as we know it, so with the 2024 presidential election looming overhead, the American public will be voting for who thinks they can lead in a time of chaos, among other issues.
So for the most part, we shouldn’t be worrying too much. Though the concern is still very realistic, it won’t come to fruition, at least for now.
