Students finished out the first month of the 2024-2025 school year with a campus noticeably into year two of construction. See below for glimpses of hallways, decor, and a look around AHS.
Students moving to Lenzner Field during a pre-planned evacuation drill in September 2024. Lamp-posts and grass seed were added into the walkway section pictured top right.
A number of rooms have designated Antelope labels next to them, including this back entry door to the counseling office which opened last year. The added plants are a further addition, including the black kickstrip added along the floor.
As of September, the district has constructed the first section of the DIRTT structure in the remodeled cafe space. For more information on the eventual structure, visit https://www.dirtt.com/
By the end of the month, the new mural at the entryway of the high school would have a wood panel running underneath. Here it is pictured mid month.
A glimpse at one of the grade-wide safety meetings during LEAD at the start of the month. As Dr. Dwulit and Mr. Como outlined regulations, students had their first look at the newly designed Antelope Logo, as well as the redesigned Lopes font and a new WPIAL logo, as well as 3-point arcs now colored in grey.
Most hallways now have a grey flooring throughout the school, compared to the unfinished floor from the first year of construction.
