After a great season last year where 6 Avonworth wrestlers qualified for the WPIAL playoffs, including a first place finish from senior and top-20 statewide wrestler Auston Kosanovic, this year has been more about continued growth. In addition to the ups and downs of a number of team losses by 10 or less points, this year was the first year for a girls’ wrestling team.
Team highlights include wins over Quaker Valley and individual highlights will continue through February’s playoff matches.
With only two seniors graduating, Auston Kosanovic and Jackson Krul, this young team will surely improve in the coming years.
