A high-scoring final quarter from 7th seeded Elizabeth Forward ended the Lopes 25-26 Boys Basketball season with a first round loss, 83-60, on Friday, February 13th.
Reaching the playoffs as a 10 seed, the team faced a year long challenge of filling the empty places left from Rowan Carmichael, Noah Quinn, and Noah Goetz, a trio that led the team to playoff success a few years.
This year, seniors Carson Bellinger, Evan Loutzenhiser, Thomas Werner, and Luca Neal found their way through the section, with a 4-4 section record and 9-12 overall record as of February 9th, 2026.
Highlight wins include Hopewell and South Fayette, while also clinching a playoff spot with their win over Ambridge on Tuesday, February 3rd.
