This Monday, the 9th of March, was the start of free agency for 2026. Many teams improved like the Raiders and Titans, while some teams didn’t really do much like the Cowboys and Packers.
One team who did improve was the Steelers. They started off their free agency by trading for Wide Receiver Michael Pittman Jr. from the Colts for a late round pick swap, then gave him a 3-year,$59 million deal.
They next went to Tampa to go out and get Cornerback Jamel Dean for 3-years, $35 million.
Finally, on the way back to Pittsburgh, they stopped at Carolina to pick up running back Rico Dowdle for 2-years, $12.25 million.
