Current co-editor-in-chief Pedro Moreira and Editorial Staff Member Lyra Klinedinst returned a year later to PSU Main Campus for the PA School Press State Championships. For the first time, the event was held on campus but in the Nittany Lion Inn.

Sophomores Melody Zheng and Norah Shenck joined Lyra, a junior, and Pedro, a senior, to compete against 7 other regional winners from the fall competitions.

Norah Shenck and Pedro Moriera 7th in state in their respective competitions, Editorial Cartooning and Editorial Writing
Weather was a notable factor on the overall attendance, as at least half of the schools left after lunch to arrive home safely, getting ahead of winter weather adviseries across the state and even a tornado watch some of the eastern areas of the state.
