Avonworth Golf had another fantastic season this year with a senior Kai Carlson striking again. He ended off the season with the best single round score in Antelope golf history. The Avonworth Golf team ended their season being 6th in the boys WPIAL in class 3A. This has been an historically high finish for the team. 
This year, Kai Carlson faced off against 5 players who are headed to the State Championship this year for Boys 3A and two others who made it last year. Kai solidified his 2nd place finish by 4 points.
Brandon Sapolsky just lost his chance at the WPIAL AAA Championship at Latrobe by a single bad hole to go to the first round. Kai Carlson, on the other hand, just missed by one stroke to make it to the first round. In 2021, Brandon Sapolsky couldn’t make it due to covid. This year could have been his redemption, but sadly he didn’t make it. In the same year, 2021, Kai Carlson made it and finished 2nd place.
Avonworth Golf ended the season 6th place in the WPIALs with a total of 418 points. The team did well but some of the players improved well. So, while neither senior made the cut for the first round of WPIAL AAA Championship at Latrobe, Kai Carlson and Brandon Sapolsky ended their careers with tremendous success.
