Thanks to Editor-In-Chief Zion Schenk, pictured bottom left with oncoming editor-in-chief Emma Noss, for many many unexpected hours of layout and editing to bring The Avonews back into print!
For the first time since 2019-2020, students could read The Avonews in print throughout the year and in the glossy Senior edition started by the 2020-2021 staff. Zion navigated unexpected corrupted files right before the print deadline, as well as moving the pub lab from room 306 to 209, downsizing in computers and counter space, and switching between printers and formats.
Pub Lab bulletin board and counter space in 308, used for the first issue by staff to start 2023-2024. Cleaned out before December 20th move.
Part of the room move to 209 included downsizing two computers and the printer/scanner, seen left from 308.
A look at the November print edition, inspired by the 2015-2016 format shift pictured in the top left.
It is great to see the seniors in the building once again and I bet they were happy to graduate!! I see students that want to pursue different goals and I am glad that is working out for them.
