The 2026 Steelers draft class was interesting to say the least. Lets Recap every Steelers Draft Pick.
First Round
Pick 21- Max Iheanachor- Arizona State- OT
Many Steelers fans were originally upset at this pick because of the Eagles and them trading up for WR Makai Lemon. But over time, and looking more into Max, this pick is going to turn out to be great for the Steelers. Broderick Jones is still an injury and performance question, so having a top quality OT gives them security at a key position on the O line.
Second Round
Pick 47- Germie Bernard- Alabama- WR
Very much a solid pick up here. This guy had only a few drops in his college career and will be a great slot guy for the Steelers.
Round 3
Pick 76- Drew Allar- Penn State- QB
I was confused at first with this pick and still somewhat am. But if this means that Aaron Rodgers isn’t coming back, then we will see a great QB competition this August at St. Vincent with Allar and last year’s 5th round selection, Ohio State QB Will Howard.
Pick 85- Daylen Everette- Georgia- CB
Very solid pick up here. Will play in the a slot and might play the outside a little bit. Not much else to say, but overall solid.
Pick 96- Gennings Dunker- Iowa- OT
Outside of it being a solid pick, his whole approach to ginger grooming is very cool and I like it. The mustache is an essential part. Also, the jersey number. This guy is the top pick for memes in this year’s draft.
Round 4
Pick 121- Kaden Wetjen- Iowa- WR
Solid return man here. Going to replace Calvin Austin on punt returns.
Round 5
Pick 169- Riley Nowakowski- Indiana -FB
Don’t know much about him. Should be a solid pick up.
Round 6
Pick 210- Gabriel Rubio- Notre Dame- DT
Overall ok pick here. Depth pick, always good to have DT’s and OT’s around for the long season.
Round 7
Pick 224- Robert Spears-Jennings- Oklahoma- S
Solid pick, might make the roster, might not.
Pick 230- Eli Heidenrich- Navy- RB
Cool moment and cool pick for the hometown kid. From Pittsburgh, this is really cool and I hope that he will make the final roster.
Overall this was a solid draft from the Steelers and many of these guys could turn into some great players for us.
