If the Steelers want to advance to the Super Bowl on Sunday against the Patriots they have to play an almost perfect game, and that starts with Ben Roethlisberger. I believe he needs to be almost mistake free which means no interceptions and making accurate throws in clutch situations against this stout Patriots defense.
Next is if the defense can stop the most dangerous on the Patriots offense: Tom Brady. The linebackers and secondary have to rise up to the challenge and play the best game of the year for them if we advance to the Super Bowl. And that starts with linebacker Ryan Shazier who is the quarterback on the defense for the Steelers, and must respond to whatever Brady decides to do against this defense. Also the secondary needs to focus on not getting beat on the deep routes of the Patriots because that is what hurt the Texans when the Patriots played them last week.
Making a prediction for this game is going to be difficult because both of these teams are coming into this game clicking on all cylinders. But if the Steelers want to win they need to feed Le’Veon Bell early and often and they get the ground game going they can take some shots downfield to Brown and the rest of the receivers. I believe if the Steelers have momentum and an edge at halftime they have a good chance to win and that’s why I’m picking the Steelers 35-31 with Bell going for 140 yards on the ground and Ben has his best game of the playoffs throwing for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns and proving all of the doubters wrong.
