The 2022 AHS art show offered something new alongside the works of art – a chance to help fund Pittsburgh Bee Keepers as they battle colony disorders that have rapidly destroyed the bee population in the city.
“…bee themed artwork that the Galleries Project students made (all purchases will be donated to Burgh Bees to help support safe local bee-keeping & stabilization of bee populations in the area) {sold during} Mod C/D. Bring cash or you can direct pay using paypal when you get down there. Thanks!” wrote Graphic Arts teacher, Ms. James, to the staff on Thursday, May 5th
The art show ran on Wednesday, May 4th from 5:30 to 7 PM. Avonworth students chose to submit their artworks for show, where parents and community members could come and view the showcase.
