Key Club is a student-led, high school organization, hosted in many schools all around the world. In Key Club, you volunteer, plan, and develop leadership skills to help you through high school and into college. Key Club provides many opportunities for students to help out around the community. Service hours earned in the club are able to be used for National Honors Society for students interested in that program.
At our school, the club is run by Mrs. Waddell who is joined by the elected officers each year. Club member junior Olivia Barie says, “I am so excited to see what the club has to bring this year”. Mentioning the events they did last year, Mia Milojevic says, “I helped out a lot and overall every event was extremely successful”. The club requires a total of 20 service hours per year and each meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month from 3-3:30 after school. Some events held last year were the Caring Place, Haunted Trial, food drives, etc.
