The 2022 World Series started off with a close battle with the Philadelphia Phillies beating the Houston Astros in a close and challenging battle, 6-5. Both teams had been extremely dominant throughout both the playoffs and the regular season, but some of the players that truly shined were Bryce Harper and José Altuve for both their teams respectively.
The fourth game of the series was still a good battle, but was mainly one-sided with the Astros winning 5-0 and throwing an amazing no-hitter.
The games went back and forth in the next upcoming days, but finally, Houston was able to strive forward and beat the Phillies by 2 games to win the series 4-2.
Is it good for baseball fans that the Houston Astros won the World Series? I think it was personally good and fair that they won this year, even after being exposed a few years back to cheating. They admitted to it and owned up to it. Now it wasn’t right to do in the first place, but they took it as well as they could have done, and they earned it this season. They had to climb and battle through the American League, just as the Phillies had to battle in the National. They won it this year with grit, determination, strength, perseverance, and most of all, a will to win.
