Team Canada Wins Gold in the 2023 World Juniors
Team Canada was able to prove themselves this year during the World Juniors by winning the Gold Medal. With great talent, this year Connor Bedard and Shane Wright who are on Team Canada were able to showcase their talent to the world.
Team Canada played Team USA in the semi-final game
Team Canada was the team that I was cheering for this year in the tournament. I have always been torn between Team USA and Team Canada, but this year I chose to cheer for Canada. There have been years I have rooted for the USA, but I like more of the players on Team Canada this year.
Connor Bedard on Team Canada
One of my favorite players on Team Canada is Connor Bedard. He is yet to be drafted into the NHL because he wasn’t eligible. This year he is entering the draft and is projected to go 1st overall. Connor had a total of 23 points within the 7 games played; furthermore, he became the all-time leading scorer for Team Canada.
Shane Wright on Team Canada
Team Canada is full of lots of talent this year. Someone in specific is Shane Wright who was drafted to the Seattle Kraken in the first round. He was the captain of Team Canada and was able to lead them to the gold medal. During the gold medal game, Wright was able to show off his skill with an amazing goal for Team Canada.

Connor Bedard’s miraculous goal against Slovakia in overtime
Overall, Team Canada is my favorite team this year because of the talent and the players on the team. So when it comes down to cheering on a team in World juniors I would choose Team Canada.
