Around 11 AM on Friday, February 10th, Dr. Dwulit announced a medical lockdown through the loudspeakers. Dwuilt spoke to Avonews reporters in 2019 about Medical Lockdowns to provide more information.
A lockdown is “(administrations) first response to a dangerous situation”, according to Principal Dwulit. “A Medical Lockdown is a medical situation and somebody’s going to have to be moved from the building in an ambulance.” Dwulit also added that a medical lockdown is to keep privacy for the person having the medical complications.
Students were either in Lunch 1 or Mod E during the lockdown on Friday, and asked to remain in place and out of the hallways. The lockdown extended into the end of Lunch 1 and start of Mod E.
Due to the timing of the lockdown, lunch 3 was delayed until 12:22.
