I learned what teachers deal with through my aunt, who teaches in downtown Pittsburgh. I learned the stuff they teach, how they teach it, how the students act, and what goes on. Compared to Avonworth, we are lucky to have such a great school environment. Why have an article about this now? The first week of May is National Teacher Appreciation Week. I asked students what teacher really impacted them throughout their life in school.
Auston Kosanovic(26) said, “Mr.Affaneh because other than teaching math he taught you about life and how he failed and succeed and that really changed me going forward.”
Austin Gatti(24) said, “ Mr. Mancini because he taught me about life and, somethings in life are not fair. Also, he taught me about the Italian lingo and foods.”
Jack Salisbury(25) said, “ Mrs.Findon because we talk about life and just laugh and have a good time every time I see her.”
Even though the week is coming to a close, students should still appreciate our teachers every day because they are a big part of our lives and could shape our future. Also, we should appreciate teachers every day because we don’t know what they are going through and a student who appreciates them could go a long way.
