For the final game of week two in the 2023-2024 NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) host the Cleveland Browns (1-0) on Monday night at 8:15. These two teams are division rivals and will play each other twice this season including this week. The final result of the game, resulting in the Steelers defeating the Browns 26-22. The Steeler’s defense came up big in the final minutes of the game forcing a fumble and returning it for a Touchdown to seal the game.

Staying on the topic of the defense, TJ Watt passed the previous sack record held by James Harrison and became the all-time franchise leader in that category. Harrison commented on it after the game saying “Records are meant to be broken” and how he was proud of him for breaking it. Watt also forced the game-winning fumble and returned it for the first touchdown of his career which puts him on track for an outrageous 34 sacks this season.

The game also included many notable injuries of players who are considered to be the faces of each franchise. Both Nick Chubb, running back for the Cleveland Browns, and Minkah Fitzpatrick, safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers had to exit the game. Fitzpatrick was taken out of the game due to an injury to his chest. Nick Chubb was carted off the field and is expected to miss the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
