The spookiest day of the year is upon us and there is a seemingly very large lack of Halloween spirit in the halls of AHS. In comparison to past years, not many seniors, if any at all, dressed up in a scary or fun costume to celebrate Halloween.
Also, in contrast to past years, there was no senior costume parade. A few students have blamed the lack of celebration on the fact that only the seniors and teachers were permitted to dress up. Would we have had a different outcome if everybody was permitted to dress up?
On much more exciting *spooky* news, much of the faculty of AHSÂ dressed up as construction workers to make light of the current construction Avonworth is undergoing. Many students reported mistaking their teachers as real working construction workers!
While on the actual day of Halloween, we did not see many scary surprises or senior participation, after-school clubs still made an effort to represent the Halloween spirit with ghostly games and pumpkin painting! The Special Olympics Club, run by Ms. Tiff, had a fang-tastic pumpkin painting party! As well as Miss Tiff, Mrs. Reagle also celebrated the haunted holiday with a Latin club meeting and festive games!
