Many are asking about the viral TikTok saying “Roman Empire”. What exactly does it all mean?
The catchy phrase started by girls asking boys, “how often do you think about the Roman Empire?” To which they repeatedly replied, 2 times a day…”
This trend is meant to poke fun at the stereotypical differences between men and women daily. The phrase was coined on August 19, 2023 when Hulu inquired, “How often do you think about Ancient Rome?”, referring to a TV show. From that point on, it blew up all over TikTok. Now the trend has turned into people sharing their “Roman Empires” or things they think about regularly.
Whether serious or comedic, everyone’s responses fed further into the algorithm, and it became a sensation overnight.
