This year’s Avonworth Ski Club included lots of memory-making, bonding with friends/teachers, and even a broken collarbone. The ski club was able to go on three successful trips this winter but was not able to pull off a fourth as the trip to Blue Knob was canceled due to not enough people signing up.
In order of trips, the ski club went on a nighttime outing to Seven Springs, a full day at Peek’n Peak, and a full day at Holiday Valley. While at Holiday Valley, I happened to take a bad fall, breaking my collarbone in the process and having to have ski patrol come take care of me. Apart from that, everything else ran very smoothly and everyone had a great time.
Maks Milojevic, one of the many students to attend the trips, had this to say: “I thought the ski trips were really fun and I liked getting to spend time with all of my friends. I’m definitely gonna do it again next year.”
Overall, the Avonworth Ski Club was very successful and was able to get the most out of the time that it had. Considering all of the positive feedback that it has gotten, it is safe to say that students will be looking forward to it next year.
