Spirit Week 2026 returned to the traditional time at the last week of September, leading into the Homecoming game on Friday and Homecoming Dance at the Convention Center on Saturday. Thursday’s Black Out theme, partially to support Girls Volleyball against Blackhawk, had the most participation. Here are photos from throughout the week.
Abbie Galluci said she participated in Blackout because she,”got extra credit in biology.”Spirit week day 4: Blackout. When I asked Mrs.Maisner why she participated, she said,”It’s really easy for me to pick out what I wear to school.”Tony Plumb 11th Accidental all black.Mason Mobley 10th Accidental Black out.Mr Wells explained why he matched the theme for October 1st 2026 Spirit Week, “I’m wearing all black because I’m emotional and hate the world”“Blackout is the easiest theme” says Zoey Jacobs a senior known for always being in a cheery mood. She participated in October 1st theme because its really not that difficult.Gus was asked what his opinion is of decades day band he responded stating “I think its pretty chill its a natural icebreaker for students to escape their comfort zones and share laughs with their peers and teachers but it could also pose turmoil for people who feel shy or cant afford to get cloths to look like another decade.”Mr. Haskins (2026) Decades DayAfter being asked what’s his opinion is on decades day Logan responded “I think that participation was pretty rough because people are concerned about the social stigma of wearing something that isn’t popular right now.”“I believe Mr Haskins won spirit week, especially today.” Teacher, Mrs Imbrogno expresses her appreciation of homecoming spirit week by participating in decade day on September 30th.Mrs.Wahl partook in Decades Day as the 70’s. While I could not get a quote from her, Olivia Hubbell (who usually does not participate in Spirit Week) mentions,”I don’t feel like doing all that extra work everyday, I just throw on random clothes and shoes and call it a day.”Day 3 of Spirit Week: Decades Day. Destinee participated and said,”I love Spirit week. I dress up because I love playing dress up and matching the themes, even if nobody else does them.”
Mr. Haskins expressed that he “bought this for today”. The biology teacher wanted to represent the 80’s for September 30th’s Spirit Week theme.Ben Butsko sweater vs. flannel day! Ben said ,” I was going to wear a sweater, but I couldn’t find one”.“Go Sweaters!” Were Dr. Maloney’s thoughts on Sweaters vs. Flannel day.After being asked what do you think about sweater vs flannel day Noah Burford 11th grade stated “I didn’t know we had that this is what I wear on a normal day”.Mrs.Cav joins in on Spirit Week day 2: Flannel vs Sweaters. While I could not get a quote from her, I did get a quote from senior Catheryn Allen, who said,”Spirit Week makes school more fun and gives everyone a chance to enjoy themselves.”Gabby Beck, president of Student Council participated in day 2 spirit week. And encourages other people to do the same.Specifically she said “As student council president,I wish to see more participation from students”.“Should we pretend to fight?” jokes Mrs. Vilani while posing for the September 29th spirit week theme of the day. Being best friends, Mrs.james and Mrs Vilani planned to be both parts in sweaters vs. flannels.On September 29th a freshman Aria Buroyne chose to participate in the spirit week theme: “I’m team flannel”.Two 9th grade students, Gertrude Davis and Aria Burgoyne dressing on theme for the first day of spirit week, September 28.“I’m usually not a fan, but today is a rough Monday, so it’s ok”. Negron is the senior class sponsor as well.
