For the boys, it was another sprinter collecting some shiny hardware. Savian Baptiste ran 10.93 in the prelims of the 100m, and came back with a 10.99 in the finals to grab a 2nd place medal. It’s the first time in 17 years the team has had someone run under 11 seconds! He was one place better in the 200m, blowing the field away late in the race & winning gold with a time of 22.19. Both of those times are new PR’s and put him SECOND all-time in program history in the 100m and 200m! His 10.93 in the 100m ranks him 5th in the WPIAL 3A this season, and the 22.19 in the 200m ranks him 8th. Both times are top-50 in the STATE! Savian, Tony Plumb, Jimmy Quinn and Brayden Wiles grabbed 8th place medals in the 4x100m relay. Their time of 43.96 moves them up into 4th all-time in program history! The boys team scored enough points to place 15th out of 66 teams.
