Yesterday, April 22nd, 2021, it snowed. This weather is extremely out of the ordinary for the middle of April and can likely be attributed to climate change. I asked four Avonworth students about their views on […]

Earth Day 2021 brings our focus to what the state of our environment is in. With Global warming, a global pandemic, and many other conflicts in our daily lives, Earth Day has to be the last thought on your mind. […]

I have been attending school virtually since March 13th 2020. It has given me time to sit back and contemplate some things many other kids most likely had not even been giving a second thought to. When going on […]

After a tiresome first three quarters of the school year, the district decided to send all grades back to school, five days a week. Though this can be risky because of all the people throughout the school, this […]

As a sophomore when this pandemic hit I felt lucky since I got my first year of high school in and I have more time to hopefully get a normal school year again. With everyone coming back full-time or a majority of […]

It’s sad to know that the seniors couldn’t have a normal last year of their high school careers. As a sophomore myself, Im very grateful that I will hopefully have a normal senior year

I’m glad to see that the Lopes Lounge is back in business! I’ve never really spent time in it much but I love the atmosphere of it and I definitely will try to spend some time and buy a cup of coffee when I have time!

It is interesting to me as well that more seniors didn’t choose to stay home. Although i think that there are valid points for either decision, i still expected the majority to switch to fully virtual learning. i […]

I think it is very interesting seeing the difference as an in-person senior compared to an all-online senior. I really enjoyed reading this because I never knew how stressful staying all online could be and the […]

I never really considered what working at the Lopes Lounge might be like and I honestly just don’t spend much time there at all because I don’t drink coffee. I am excited to be around friends again, but I’m […]

I think its strange how you hear people speak about how hard students are working and how “strong” we are when you also hear that we are lazy and not wanting to go back to school solely based on the fact that we […]

I haven’t done fully virtual at all this year so it’s not something I’m likely to ever experience. I’m nervous about the return to 5 days a week and having so many students in the building, but I hope it’s going […]

I also think the school should have done a better job listening to what students wanted. Wednesdays were extremely useful for getting extra work done and going to things like doctor appointments. For example, I’m […]

I’m definitely more towards having Wednesday off. I feel like having that one day off helps us students refresh and self isolate from everyone else. FOr me personally, having that day off helps me better prepare […]

I’m pretty sure almost everyone is nervous and unhappy about the 5-day return to schooling. The school should have at least given us an option to stay hybrid instead of all or nothing. However, taking away our […]
